Protecting nature's sensitive beauty ......
When I was very young I was told that should you be allowed by such a beautiful creature as a butterfly to get anywhere close that you should never touch its wings for if the powder on the wings comes off then the butterfly can no longer fly.
Now I find that butterfly wing tagging is supposedly common and the excuse is migrational tracking.
The two stories don't jibe.
Personally I prefer the first and I have this to say after surviving 62 years of preposterous world offered living.
Earth Nature and her very natural inhabitants live in a free state bound only by natural laws which give most of them a very very short existence. To be able to view them is an experience called exquisite referring in this case to butterflies, rare and beautiful the experience and should one land on you as I have had the wonder to know of myself, then you will understand the great significance of the knowledge. Nature and her freedoms are not t be intruded upon by anyone and so to that event we point an accusing finger that says view nature in wonder and those that already do are ok by us.

Northern Lights...........
When I was very much younger than today, me and my family lived in Eastern Canada. One late summer we went to the north for a vacation and one night we were fortunate enough to view the northern lights. They were a beautiful wonder I will never forget. Being so long ago I cannot remember the details of the experience but somewhere deep inside I always remembered the astounding colors, the incredible pressures in the atmospheres...the powerful powerful inclusion and the mysteries of its being. It was then I knew the importance of the planet and I wanted to help but I did not know how. Now after all that time I am finally knowing how and beginning. And that is just...beginning....it took me that long to know how.
Man's ego precludes the planetary mysteries and often he leaves himself out...getting beyond oneself safely is the predicament...being allowed to understand by nature is simply an act of trust our bodies and minds are not equipped to handle easily or safely ..for the boundaries are not the same ...and that is where spiritual study is helpful. But as we are not, for example, the lights, then of course we cannot be the lights, we must be the humans and that is the learning. Your spaces are not my spaces and mine are not yours and as such we coexist.

The Vanity of Beauty...
The Beauty of Nature can be considered a natural sincere beauty in and of itself, a most rewarding sight sound and reverie for anyone whocan appreciate. In our human world we can receive these lovely impressions, bypass the harsher aspects that in Nature most naturally come along with the beauty and that are the life processes required for the fostering of the cyclical circle without which there is no life as keeps humanity alive.
Human beauty and contrivances have been found necessary for our continuance of life. These are considered natural to the huamn means of existence.
Amongst the beauty of Nature is considered its natural maintenance of that beauty. Given much space (that we don't really need anyway) it can foster and nourish the cycles within its power. Its energies are going to foster itself first (that is life in Nature)..if that ability is removed then it cannot be there to foster anything else. Mostly we are to only utilize the sort of 'fall-out' from Nature that we find we are allowed by that element itself, then the process may stay alive. Well-meaning people have failed before ...we all know about that....that's called knowing oneself thru the entropy.

*The Vanity of Beauty concerns the displacement of something natural and beautiful into an environment in which the beauty of its presence within the scene lends a false beauty by being artificially placed there by no fault of its own. Its presence is actually a victimization of its helpless state having been overpowered by a greater but wrong strength usually the 'intelligence' wrongly used and wrongly named by humanity. These humans prospering this wrong situation are creating and helping build and maintain a wrongful and hideous artifice which names them insane. Those who do not speak up either cannot or are encouraging the situation through silence. Both are wrong components of a healthy society. This then has all arisen and maintained itselfby virtue of the vanity of beauty and its smear and as it glares from its allowed surroundings like an entity growing tentacles across a shadowy page of life meant for grim crumbling into no longer beauty, its case won by a population decrying its fate of inevitable death, some of us glare back knowing its day will die into the dust. Question is, how many of us out of the natural cycle of life will it take painfully on its long distorted trek thru the societal plains of slow and stodgy realization by a mankind calling itself 'intelligent'?
The human 'use' of beauty and its healthy creative artifices and distractive devices are wrought upon ourselves as a natural growing process or participation process along the long or short road of life. To include Nature healthfully is the goal and should be the aim not the deviation.
In Nature Beauty is natural, it is a main component but so is death. Nature thinks no more of death, deterioration and birth than it does of beauty because to Nature that is what life is...a basically reactive process of cyclical motion. Joy is spring, mature nurture is fall, summer spins endless webs of sunshine, a glorious song of endless output, winter is a folding in, a mellow slow burn whether it's the burn of ice or sun. Again, in Nature Beauty is natural, its displacement into an incorrect situation is unnatural. If human discernment and allowance are the fault then human discernment and allowance must right the situation. In nature the natural is to be allowed and beauty is the ultimate reward. Passionate and overwhelming, fragile and graceful, the loveliness of Nature is the answer to the whole range of human understanding of natural beauty. The reward from within is the association with Nature.
